On 27th April, I visited the old town of Melaka (Historical Malacca City). I went to there by coach. Although it is just a small town, the history of Melaka is really fantastic. From 16th Century to 19th Century, Melaka were occupied by Portuguese, Dutch and British. Besides that, Melaka were occupied by Japanese when World War II. Of course, Melaka is a strategic location to control the Straits of Malacca.
On 7th July, 2008, Melaka has been listed as a World Heritage Site. In my experience, all heritages are well maintained and easy to reach on foot.
