First - to get sharp pictures on pbase do all the processing yourself and upload as is. All my lenses are IS - sort of like reading glasses, after the age of 40 image stabilization can be a great help. For a younger person with a good track record of blur free images the Tamron might be a better bet. I found the viewfinder of the 400D greatly improved over the 350D and to be no problem. For professional use in wedding etc, the 40D would be a better choice. For trekking after wildlife the 400D fits my needs better.

Great shots. This lens seems to work well. Getting mixed opinons on IS in a lens. Was looking into possiblg getting the Tamrom 18-250, it has no IS. Have you any comments on this? Do you have trouble with the viewfinder on this camera? It seems so small. Having trouble makin up my mind. XTI or 40D I have a wedding to do next year. Help.
