1st September to 2nd September 2005

Madrid, famous for its football (of the soccer kind) and its national museums (too numerous to mention) - of which you won't find any photos of here. Instead what you find is a collection of photos from a walking tour around Madrid. Starting at Plaza Mayor and fumbling my way around the streets of Madrid and on to the San Francisco Cathedral, I found myself in the interiors and back rooms of the cathedral. Next stop was Cathedral de la Almudena and on to Palacio Real de Madrid, which unfortunately has already closed for the day. A few coffee breaks, sore feet, wrong turns and snacks later I end up at the mystical and somber Templo de Debod.

Hello, I'm a brazilian student and I would only like to say that these had been the best photos of Madrid that I already contemplated in all my life! You he obtained to catch in each building, each monument, each square, everything photographed the essence of Madrid! And this left me much more happy to live in the city in 2011, thank you so much. Tiene Vd. una capacidad admirable para recoger lo que el ojo humano es casi incapaz de apreciar. ¡Muchas felicidades! Estas fotos son extraordinarias. Son de las mejores fotos que he visto del interior de San Francisco y de La Almudena. Me gustaría que hiciese más y las expusiese. ¡Enhorabuena! y gracias de todos los madrileños también.

This is a marvellous survey of the architectural wonders of this great city, Khanh! I especially love the interiors of the Cathedral: Superb colours, tones, mood and atmosphere. Technical proficiency and artistry. Congratulations! Voted !!
