Perched on an exterior window backed by a white pull-down blind, this large crane fly seemed unconcerned as I carefully adjusted my tripod-mounted camera and lens.
It remained perfectly still, allowing me to move in, get the composition (and the picture) I wanted.

Sometimes the photo gods smile on you.
