This is one of the best preserved mangrove forest in Malaysia. During Sept to Dec, it has become a stopover and feeding ground for hundreds of thousands of migratory birds which come from China, Japan, Mongolia, Russia, Siberia & Khazakhstan. Brahminy Kite, White-Bellied Sea Eagle, cattle egret, white-throated, white-collared, stock-billed kingfishers are common here. Endangered Lesser Adjutant can also be found.
