There were big expectations on 21 January 2019, for the full lunar eclipse, coinciding with 'super moon' (the moon at its closest orbit to the Earth, 14% larger and 30% brighter than normal).
Where I live, the full eclipse was between 05:40am and 06:40am. Unfortunately, from 5:30am, the sky got covered with a thick layer of stratus clouds. So no red moon or full eclipse to see. :-/
However, despite the uncooperative weather, there were a few breaks in the clouds in the run up to the full eclipse.
While there was no chance for a beautiful iconic shot of red moon, at least I could see some of it from the comfort of my balcony :)
