Designed by the Lincoln architectural firm of Meginnis and Schaumberg, the Masonic Temple is an excellent example of the union of art and
architecture. A restrained Art Deco style is seen in the cubic massing and geometric décor of the building. Locally renowned artist Elizabeth Honor
Dolan worked with the architectural character and form of the building's interior, creating a series of nine related murals in the meeting
hall. The bas relief sculpture above the main entrance to the Masonic Temple was also based on a sketch by Dolan.
