The Bellinger River, from another view point. The local people are very philosphical about the flood saying "the river comes up, the river goes down" but they still play close attention to the water levels. At this stage the little shop on the other side of the river was reported to be running out of some basic foods with a significant number of visitors to town boarding, camping or renting homes on that side of the river.
