Small boats exploring attractive locations by sail and oar in company has become a growing enthusiasm, and finally there has been one in England, in the Solent. Nearly 40 boats from 6 countries explored the shallow fringes and the rivers and creeks of the Solent while the Cowes Week juggernauts pounded down the centre. Here there was friendly rivalry and camaderie, boats up to 30' with gaff or lug or other rigs, traditional, local and modern boats with not a few designers represented. More photos of each boat, ask to see them and order prints from Kathymansfield@mac.com. Watch for Water Craft's November issue
