This begins the Sweet Auburn Freedom Walk. Some say "Run, don't walk, the Freedom Walk!" For sure, this is a place that is foreign to me as a white woman raised in an upper middle class household, yet I was never uncomfortable. We had debated taking the bus from Five Points to the MLK Historic Site, and opted to walk. I am glad we did. We met a lot of bums along the way, but we also saw some beautiful people, buildings and history.
