A moving memorial. After experiencing the Sweet Auburn Freedom Walk and the MLK Historic Site, how do you pay tribute to this man? In the visitor's center, they had a register where people could write a tribute to Dr. King. Instead of writing one, with words that would have never done justice to the emotions I felt, I decided to flip through the pages to find out what other people had to say to and about Martin Luther King. One person apologiezed for the violent acts committed by the Black Panthers in the name of equality. Children thanked him for the example he has set. Grandmothers thanked him for themselves being able to witness so much change in their lifetimes. It was simply amazing - I had to fight back tears many times as I read the personal messages.
