I love the old western knives. They are a marvelous part of american history. And with 1095 being the steel of choice among most custom knife makers, it seems these beauties have stood the test of time through a few wars and economic changes. Only to be bought out by Camillus durning the 1980s. Seems they went to mostly stainless after this changeover, and they were very nice knives, yet things never seemed to be the same. Once they were bought out by Coleman, it was over for WESTERN knives. :-(
