Margoon (Margun) means "snake like" in Persian.
Margoon Waterfall is located at the borders of the two provinces of “Kohkiluyeh Va Boyer Ahmad” and “Fars” in Iran, at the east of Yasooj and alongside the Margoon Village, close to the city of Sepidan.
The waterfall consist of many snake like narrow water streams falling in parallel from a broad rock plane, forming wide spread water stream at the down side.
In the valley which ends to the waterfall, combination of river roam, forest trees and vibrant flowers (especially in during spring) make this area one of the unique nature attractions of the region and also one of the main destinations for both local and foreign tourists.
