I see these funky looking SUV things driving around now and then. I have to try to get a better shot of one. I never heard of the Gurgel brand before I came down here...pretty obscure. I can't decide if they're ugly or cool looking.

This is actually a pretty typical Manaus driving scene, which can be a white-knuckle experience. Notice the distinct lack of lane markers. Where there are any, they're usually so faded as to be almost invisible. Drivers kind of make their own lanes, which keeps you on your toes behind the wheel.
