Pictured is a replica of the rig which produced its first gusher May 28, 1923. It was the first well in the Permian Basin,
discovered adjacent to the lake, eventually capped in 1990 after sixty-seven years of production. This replica is located
a few hundred yards from the Reagan County High School in Big Lake, Texas.
