The darken stones stacked just beyond Moses' headstone and in front of Richard Sharp's box tomb are arranged in a rectangular fashion.
They possibly mark the burial of Elizabeth Sharp, Moses' wife. This burial method is contemporaneous with many found in the
Old Republican Cemetery seen here http://www.pbase.com/jtsmall/image/135270250
.
It is also possible that Moses' original headstone, seen leaning on a stump next to his DAR provided headstone and of the type seen in the
Old Republican Cemetery, was located at the head of these stacked stones and is Moses' actual burial location.
