Jenene, the mood of this image won't let me go. Yes, I can smell the rain on its way, but more than that, I can't take my eyes off the sky as it is abstracted behind the tree. I could fall into its depths.

Wow, Jenene. I keep looking down between those trees where mysterious formations appear on the orange sky. Great picture!

As my thumb broke the seal
Upon the back of the forgotten love letter,
I drew my breath with hesitation,
Wondering what tempest of amour had been suffocating
Alone, squeezed nearly breathless
Between the leaves of a faded autumn time.
I held those sacred lines of passion
As if they were scribed by my heart
And gave them a voice of storm again
To rage through the night
Wanting a lover
Who could never be.

very dramatic light. It certainly does speak of a storm about to break. I can feel the tension in the air.

It's an awesome sky Jenene, but what I especially like about is the apparent figures behind the tree. OK, they are cactii?

The instant before the big bang..a very primieval feel. Lovely. K

The work on the colors is fabulous! The point of view and this color gradient gives a feel of motion, that matches the patterns of the clouds. A very impressive shot.

Love this almost surreal image, and the contrast between the warm orange and yellow, and the cool grey tones! Can't stop staring at this :-)

This is all about the effects of color, Jenene -- the oranges and reds are subtle but eloquent, particularly because you have abstracted them by hiding them behind the trees. The delicate veil of clouds offers superb contrast and context for the firery crescendo building within the trunks and branches of those trees. The tensions created by this color conflict produce a very emotional image, Jenene -- it is an explosion about to happen.
