Here is my oldest male friend in the nearly four decades I've lived in California - James Ellsworth. Since 1971 - James and this photographer spent (and sometimes mis-spent) many days and miles exploring the back roads of California, Neveda, and Oregon.

In his fifties - James finally decided to settle down and take a wife. He and his charming bride - Barbara - live in the Sacramento Valley town of Woodland.
