San Francisco
This remarkable building is owned by American film director and producer - Francis Ford Coppola.
The green is from the solid copperplate which covers the exterior of the building.
The building has also been known as the Sentinel Building and was constructed in 1907 as the Columbus Tower. Construction had begun prior to the 1906 Great Earthquake but the site was badly damaged and this delayed construction for almost a year.
The building had fallen on hard times and was in significant disrepair when Mr. Coppola purchased it in the late 1970's. He renovated the building and now uses much of it for his businesses.
This is the intersection of Pacific and Columbus Avenues - where four of San Francisco's historic neighborhoods come together:
The Financial District (south); Chinatown (west); The Barbary Coast (east); and finally - North Beach (north).
