I managed to talk my way backstage toward the end of a dance show one evening and no-one seemed to mind if I took pictures as long as I kept out of the way of them dashing on and off stage and generally didn't get in the way. Up close the make up is pretty extreme, I loved it and wished I'd gone backstage earlier ... next time I suppose.
