Marienplatz is a square in the old town of Würzburg . It is largely separated from the market square by the Marienkapelle and therefore only has a narrow passage to it. Named after the Virgin Mary. At Marienplatz in Würzburg, the Haus zum Falken (today, the Tourism Office) is particularly striking, with its lavish stucco decoration in the Rococo style attracting many admiring glances. Right next door is the Gothic Marienkapelle of the citizens with numerous tombs of Franconian knights and citizens of Würzburg.
