Pharmacy Museum
The pharmacy museum in Schiltach was originally the town hall pharmacy in the market square, which was founded in 1837.In 1985 it ceased to function as a pharmacy and was re-opened in 1989 as a museum, with its characteristic interior preserved.The pharmacy has a very impressive Biedermeier root wood dispensary complete with all its original features and fittings; together with the laboratory and the medicine cellar it gives us an insight into the working world of the early pharmacist.
