Ca´gritti Dandolo

Palazzo Gritti or Gritti Dandolo is a palace in Venice, located in the Cannaregio district, overlooking the Grand Canal from Palazzo Martinengo Memmo Mandelli and Palazzo Correr Contarini Zorzi. Of medieval origin, when it appeared with the classic lines of the Venetian Gothic, Palazzo Gritti was the subject of a major restructuring in the seventeenth century, when it was radically modified the perforated patterns, but not dimensioni. The facade, which consists of three levels, presents , on the ground floor, a large round portal, with direct access to the channel. The two main floors, which have a symmetrical structure, are open by a pair of single-side, with a central five-light window; These openings are all equipped with stone parapets.
To the right of the main building, a smaller building pertains to the Gritti Palace complex: three floors, with the ground floor a porch supported by columns; There are white two bas-reliefs in the façade, depicting the coats of arms of the Gritti and Dandolo, who were the noble owners, respectively. This smaller building,of the sixteenth century, owes its current form to a nineteenth-century reconstruction.

These palaces are just so beautiful, and you have captured this one well. Excellent clarity and color, too. V.
