Claglüna House - Ardez
The Claglüna House is one of the most richly painted and artistically famous houses of the Engadin. On its façade is painted the famous scene of Eve giving the apple from the tree of knowledge- around which the snake is entwined- to Adam. The house and painting were done under Dument Claglüna in 1647, and display the alliance of arms on the oriel. The façade painting was restored in 1929. As a result of humidity coming from the ground (and attributed to the exhaust immissions of cars), the lower part of the painting with Adam and Eve has suffered extensively.
