Logroņo. Puente de Piedra

Logroņo's Stone Bridge (puente de piedra), officially known as the "Bridge of San Juan de Ortega," takes its name from a former eighteenth century chapel situated on the bank of the river Ebro.
Historians believe that the chapel was built in honour of the saint who built the first stone bridge over the River Ebro in Logroņo.
Designed by Fermín Manso de Zuniga and opened for use in 1884, the bridge is 198 meters long, with seven arches supported by cylindrical pillars and has remained open to this day.
