Logroño. Paseo del Príncipe de Vergara (El Espolón)

Logroño's Espolón Square (Plaza del Espolón) is one of the prettiest squares in the entire city, with flower beds and trees maintained to a high standard throughout the year.
Centrally located, Espolón Square was originally located just outside the city walls when it began to take shape in 1757.
The plaza was created as a public promenade and was extended in 1809 to include orchards where the Government Office now stands.
Originally known to the locals as "Paseo de las Delicias" (promenade of delights) or "Paseo Extramuros" (promenade outside the walls), the square was renamed "Paseo de los Reyes" (promenade of the kings) following the restructuring of the square in 185
