The Washerwoman Portico

Situated behind Güell House, to the south of the large square, the Washerwoman Portico is a contention wall than functions as covered gallery. Its name stems from the caryatid that adorns the first column.Fnding inspiration, according to some writters, in the Romanic Cloister of the Cathedral of Elna, near Perpignan (France) Gaudí devised a portico whose vertical columns all have different forms
