The small walls on the stairway are decorated with concave or convex panels whose hexagonal shapes symbolizes the community work of bees when building their honeycombs. In many cases the craftsmen that were put in chrge of the wall decoration broke their tiles one by one, without mixing them, in order to put them back together according to their original design (similar to a puzzle) or to create a new design by changing the order of the fragments, which brought about original and striking combinations
