This Bear and Strawberry Tree monument is located next to the College of The Daughters of the Cross, at the entrance of Hondarribia. Hondarribia has always been a very touristy town, where many madrileņos (people from Madrid) came (and still come) to spend the summer or holidays. That's why in honor of them, the mayor decided to offer them this gift (1955), as The Bear and the Strawberry tree is the symbol of Madrid
