In several places in the city we can find a statue of San Rafael
on the capital of a votive column. Known as triunfos,
they commemorate the promise to protect the city that the
people of Cordoba attribute to the Saint. The most noteworthy
is located next to the Puerta del Puente. Executed in the
18th century, it was fi nished by Michel de Verdiguier. You
can fi nd other “triunfos” in Plaza de la Compañía, Plaza
Aguayos, Plaza del Potro, Puerta Nueva, Glorieta de Guadalhorce,
Puente de San Rafael)
