Suwalki Region (Suwalszczyzna) is a small region around the city of Suwai in northeastern Poland, near the border with Lithuania.
The Suwałki Region has many lakes and forests, and is considered a relatively undeveloped region in Poland. It is one of the very last regions in Europe with the pure, picturesque and unspoiled landscape and no industry in the area.
The geological picture of this region was formed by the Scandinavian glacier which moved four times through this land. The last Continental glacier descended 10.000-12.000 years ago, leaving plateaus, hills, valleys, ravines, river beds and lake basins.
The biggest value of Suwalszczyzna are its vast natural forests, beautiful lakes (with Hancza Lake, the deepest lake in Poland with maximum depth of 108.5 m) and rivers (the biggest are Czarna Han cza, Rospuda, Marycha, Netta, Blizna) which make the most famous and attractive kayak routes in the northeast Poland.

There are two national parks here: Wigierski NP and Biebrzanski NP.
The three major towns are: Suwalki, Augustow and Sejny.
