Fanfare Savale

The Fanfare Savale brass band comes from a magical village of Zece Prajini. A tiny village of no more than two hundred Gypsy inhabitants, lying in a picturesque spot of Romania, is truly unique in the world. Here almost every boy and man plays at least one brass instrument, and most probably this place is the place of origin of most European brass bands.
SAVALE play in an unusual way, combining archaic Gypsy music – played at the breathtaking speed of 200 beats per minute! – with the traditional, melodic and beautiful Balkan melodies. Each of this dozen of musicians fantastically feels a multitude of various musical genres. Despite the fact that most of them barely read the notes, they can play any melody after single hearing.
