Thurman, New York: River Road, along the upper Hudson River- SLRG 8524
The S&NC crew rolls SB along the scenic upper Hudson River in the Adirondack Park. The week of June 20th was the first week for preliminary S&NC train activity on this line. They are headed for Corinth to retrieve 2 coaches to bring back to North Creek in prep for the start of new service. The Saratoga and North Creek is scheduled to start passenger service in July on the ex D&H Adirondack Main between Saratoga and North Creek. This will be the first regular scheduled service thru this area since the D&H ended freight service on this section of track on November 17, 1989. Stony Creek, New York: 1000 Acres Ranch Resort
S&NC rolls SB thru the 1000 Acres grounds. This is a dude ranch opened in 1942 and still going strong. Imagine D&H ore trains running thru here prior to 1989. It appears a new platform is being built here for the train stop. Service starts July 14, 2011. June 25, 2011 GE B39-8E (Dash 8-39BE)

Stony Creek, New York: Warrensburg Road, along the upper Hudson River- SLRG 8524
Tight on the bank of the Hudson River and emerging from an isolated section of woods, the S&NC crew is returning to North Creek with 2 ex CN coaches retrieved from the equipment of the former operator, Upper Hudson River RR, which is currently stored on White's Siding in Corinth. The S&NC has decided to pull these 2 cars back up to North Creek for potential use. The tight valleys will shadow in early on this line. The Saratoga and North Creek is scheduled to start passenger service io July 14, 2011 on the ex D&H Adirondack Branch between Saratoga and North Creek. June 25, 2011

Hadley, New York: Sacandaga River Bridge- SLRG 8524
S&NC rolls NB at 4:40PM over the white waters of the Sacandaga River on the old D&H Adirondack Branch. Just past the road bridge is where the Sacandaga flows into the Hudson River. They are returning to North Creek with 2 ex CN coaches retrieved from the equipment of the former operator, Upper Hudson River RR, which is currently stored on White's Siding in Corinth. Pulling SB across Mosher Rd the S&NC crew is about to retrieve 2 ex CN coaches from Whites Siding just south of the crossing. To see a view of a D&H train in May 1991 from the other side of the crossing. Still in need of lettering and logos, the freshly painted power for the latest Iowa Pacific venture rests just north of the Saratoga Amtrak station. Saratoga Springs, New York: Canadian Pacific, Canadian Subdivision, Station Track- Budd Domes
The Canadian Pacific Saratoga Yard Job with the STLH 7308 delivers more cars to the latest Iowa Pacific venture. An ex Long Island bilevel set, SLRG 3007, is being delivered. Previously delivered ex ATSF Budd domes SLRG 508 and SLRG 512 are in the foreground while Iowa Pacific business car Caritas is in the background. The Saratoga and North Creek is scheduled to start in July on the ex D&H Adirondack Main between Saratoga and North Creek. The domes were acquired from Westours' McKinley Explorer that ran in Alaska. The 508 is the Matanuska and the 512 is the Tanana.
