Durham Castle

I don't go to Durham often enough to know it as well as I should.
As Bill Bryson said in Notes from a Small Island
"Why, it's a perfect little city. If you have never been to Durham,
go there at once. Take my car. It's wonderful."
He didn't mention that it's best to use the park and ride.

If his car was so wonderful, why was he trying to give it away??? So you're organising a Durham meet, great!!

Great set of images. The view from the cathedral tower isn't too shabby either, if you survive the climb.

But did he let you take his cars. Excellent set of shots.

Oh how beautiful! Someday I will get to the other side of the pond. I can't wait to be there and experience such a rich and vivid history for myself. Wonderful shots!

This is sweet! Actually, all of them are really nice. Makes me want to visit. We just don't have anything to compare in this country and shots like this call to my old soul which despairs at the disdain shown to our past here in the US.
