The nights are drawing in

Now winter nights enlarge
The number of their hours;
And clouds their storms discharge
Upon the airy towers.
Let now the chimneys blaze
And cups o’erflow with wine,
Let well-turned words amaze
With harmony divine.
Now yellow waxen lights
Shall wait on honey love
While youthful revels, masques, and courtly sights
Sleep’s leaden spells remove.

This time doth well dispense
With lovers’ long discourse;
Much speech hath some defense,
Though beauty no remorse.
All do not all things well;
Some measures comely tread,
Some knotted riddles tell,
Some poems smoothly read.
The summer hath his joys,
And winter his delights;
Though love and all his pleasures are but toys,
They shorten tedious nights.

an exhilarating location for a modeling class..the sitting teacher seems to be bleating instructions on how to pose for the camera...most students seem to have gotten the idea

Ooooooh ~ what a beautiful scene!
What's with the sheep cowering up at the wall?
janescottcumming10-Dec-2012 23:23
The wall must provide a good wind block. I like the patch work fields.
Sheila10-Dec-2012 23:03
Must be a chill wind for them all to be sheltering behind the wall.
A beaut shot, Johnny.

A jigsaw puzzle beyond the line of sheep and under the blue with cloud sky, all neatly fitting together.
