The introduction of the Mk IV in the 1960's reflected the fact that many people were now using the Oliver Tiger in control-line combat competition rather than for team racing. The "MOD" stamped on the crankcase means that the engine was works tuned. This work was kindly carried out by John S Oliver only a few years ago and long after the engine was manufactured
