The ride home from David Parker Motorcycles was 140 miles (I got lost and ended up in Ipswich docks nearly despite my brother Stephen's best efforts to get me to turn right at the appropriate place which added 20 miles). Happily the day was warm but balmy and it was a sheer joy to be riding such an iconic bike which at 35 years of age still cruises happily at the legal limit and turns in 60 mpg and has a riding position which is comfortable
