Rockefeller Center promenade

Rockefeller Center, 19 buildings covering 22 acres, is the largest privately held complex of its
kind in the world. The Center was name after John D. Rockefeller Jr. who leased the space from
Columbia University and developed it between 1929 and 1940, at the height of the Great Depression.
