1935 - Hungarian Jewish family

Budapest, Hungary

Starting in 1938, Hungary passed a series of anti-Jewish measures in emulation of Germany's Nuremberg Laws.
A Jew living in the countryside in March 1944 had a less than 10% chance of surviving the following year.
In Budapest, a Jew's chance of survival of the same year was about 50%. (Wikipedia)
