Intricate metal construction under the deck of the curved double-trestle railway viaduct
at Meldon. What makes this quite interesting is that the viaduct was originally built
as a single line trestle, but then upgraded to two lines by having another built adjacent
with an 'upside-down' structure linking the pair.
Meldon Viaduct is now part of the cycle track which runs from Okehampton Station
out towards Lydford. If you don't have one, why not hire a cycle in the town
and enjoy the scenery.
