Walkies

...beside a brand spanking new set of tracks. This entire section, around 30 km, was replaced this year. Parts of it dated from the 19th century.

No idea what the grey "arch" beside the tracks might be. The tracks go under the bridge to the left of it.

They do keep their tracks in good shape. I don't think they are all topnotch in this country. I believe rail should be used more here to cut down on the traffic on the highways. So many huge trucks. In Oregon, triples are allowed.
