I consider myself a rational observer. Nobody can argue with that. I won't claim to be an unbiased observer, however. Over the last few days I have got to thinking about the whole democrat party thing that is currently going on. These are true lunatics and demagogues. I quote from the Merriam Webster online dictionary:

Main Entry: dem·a·gogue
Variant(s): also dem·a·gog \ˈde-mə-ˌgäg\
Function: noun
Etymology: Greek dçmagôgos, from dçmos people (perhaps akin to Greek daiesthai to divide) + agôgos leading, from agein to lead — more at tide, agent
Date: 1648
1 : a leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain power

These democrats are the sleaziest buggers in the world, except maybe politicians in Great Britain. Not England of course, John. The thing I realized is that they want socialism here in the US. Just what we need. The problem is that no rational person really wants all the trappings of socialism. Yeah, they want free everything. Who wouldn't. What they don't want is to pay for it. So these slime ball politicians have to sneak it in on us.

Now here is the true poop on the democrat conspiracy to sneak socilaism in on us. They are establishing a welfare state for lawyers. Yup! The way they are doing this is through their presidential nomination process. They stripped Florida and Michigan of their delegates. Now remember these are the same sorry SOBs that were wringing their hands over the poor disenfranchised residents of Florida in the 2000 election all the while battling to disallow the absentee ballots of our active duty military personnel. These creeps have no shame.

Back to the conspiracy. They took away delegates from Florida and Michigan (with support from the potential candidates, I might add) and some years ago they set up this super delegate system. Need to have an elite class for effective socialism, you know. Now what is happening is that they are hiring every ambulance chasing scum bag lawyer they can find to fight it out in the courts. Thousands of lawyers are now on the payroll doing work that is essentially useless. They are getting paid handsomely. They are the first official welfare class. They are everywhere. I predict that the democrat nomination process will become more acrimonious than we can imagine. All it takes is lawyers. And democrat politicians. Now you see where this is going, don't you. If a democrat is elected this fall (heaven help us!) their next step is to start a program to alleviate the mess they have created in their idiotinc nomination process by, you guessed it, letting the government decide who the candidates will be. Now it is going to take a trainload of sleazy lawyers to do that, but that keeps them in the pockets of the "elected" officials. Kinda clever, huh. We could be just like Cuba.

Another welfare state they are creating is for TV talking heads. Jeez, there are new ones every day. I don't know who this guy is but as you can see he is from Harvard (strike one!) He is wearing dopey looking clothes so as to look professorly (strike two!) AND he claims to be an expert on something (Strike three). You might remember the professor type female that the democrat party got to testify in the 2000 Florida hearing. She was a self proclaimed expert on statistics. She claimed that she had analyzed the statistical trends in Florida and it was her expert opinion that Algore won by a substantial margin. SHe had to be right. She was a professor and an expert. She was so bad the the democrat lawyers gave her the hook quite quickly before she did any more damage.

Anyway, that is the way I see it.

That kind of game is known as Calvin ball, from Calvin and Hobbes

something tells me john, that you might be a republican? :OP this whole fiasco reminds me of some kids i used to play with when i was ten years old. they always changed the rules during the middle of the game to suit their needs.

i hate hot air talking heads like this guy. this schmuck even has the "harry potter" "i have a HARVARD education" glasses. geesh....another reason i don't watch television....

Dave - I am afraid that your poor hot air abacus would find itself overpowered and self destruct.
Dave Beedon07-Mar-2008 05:05
I have offered both Michigan and Florida the use of my hot-air-powered abacus to tally the votes of the delegates---if they are permitted to vote.

The whole situation is fun. Both candidates agreed in the beginning to not count Florida and Michigan, now they both agree they have to count them. But how?!?!?! hahahaha

Once again England tops the list.
An expert Doctor, a killer, convicted of murdering 15 patients, widely believed to have killed hundreds more, low estimates around 200 dead, high estimates around 600 dead.
Google Dr Harold Shipman, you will not believe what you read.
When he started his prison sentence, other prisoners went to him for treatment, because he was so caring, they said.

John, you bring up a serious point. Here in Ontario an 'expert' pathologist who his colleagues knew to be both biased and wrong was allowed to testify in court cases that resulted in two convictions for child murders and nearly did so in other cases. Even though they knew he was wrong, no one questioned him becuse he was an 'expert'.

Its drives me up a wall how the democrats are always calling for "power to the people" while trying to create a paternalistic system "relieving" us of our personal choice and responsibility. Robots are cool, but I don't want to be one.

I second this

Only one thing wrong with that statement John, English politicians are without a doubt the worst in the world.
Google Mr Davies MP/rent boys/Clapham Common. Sooner or later most of our politicians get caught on the Common, it seems to be compulsory once you are in power.
PS Kevin Spacey (an actor) joined them for a while.
I would like to detail all their faults and crimes but I am 63 now and there is just not enough time left.
