Ginny is doing a major uncluttering project in the garage. This time I think it will happen completely since she wants to get two cars in there. We went through a bunch of wood odds and ends which was quite a nostalgia trip. We found all sorts of things the kids made for various science fair projects and Scout projects. There were swords, catapults, stilts, sanding blocks, manometers, triangular cranes, electric motor test stands, jeez what a plethora of stuff. Anyway, this one grabbed my attention because it was a yagi antenna that Richard built for a science fair project about 1994 or so. It actually worked pretty well. We found out the hard way that you need to get it away from other conductors (like the gutters) in order to get good pattern data. I have to admit that I probably had more fun doing these projects than the boys had.
