Well, I start tutoring again today after a week off for spring break. In another 10 weeks I will be done for the summer. I decided to try a self portrait today. I have been recently cruising PBase quite a bit and noting that self portraits seem to be the rage. I have already posted a SP elsewhere. I set up the tripod (apparently a distant relation of Joe, agent listorama's faithful servant) and fired off a few. The color was weird with the mix of shaded sunlight and computer screen, so I said what the heck, lets go B&W. Well that looked pretty lousy, and I didn't have time to mess with it. I added a gradient map layer, said to myself "What the heck." and voila, here it is.

We owe a lot to that noted inventor, Grady Ent.

I have found gradient maps to be useful when backpacking.

Nice effect, but didn't you know that gradient map layers are known to induce reverse fratostatic osmosis in humans?
