I got to thinking about running red lights (I have no clue why). The intersection near our house is really bad about that. I decided to go over there and watch a few cycles just to see what happens. Well, the only time that nobody ran the light was when there were no cars. I was amazed that in my short observing time, there were several that ran it by several seconds. Now, there is this big bruhaha here in Houston about camera observation and sending tickets in the mail. As I watched this happening here today, I got to thinking that would be a good idea. Maybe just putting fake cameras up there would dissuade people from running the light. I had an even better idea, how about kids armed with paintball guns to spray offenders from the sidewalk. Now that would be fun!
