We had a trip to Calaveras Big Tree State Park in California. It was big trees for sure. It is one of the few Sequoia groves in the world. There are two groves there, the north grove and the south grove. We had a hike around both of them. We hadn't been amongst sequoias for about 35 years. It is hard to imagine how big they really are without seeing them. Today's photo is of Ginny peering through a knot hole in a downed sequoia.
