We visited with friends for a couple nights in Albuquerque. It was a lot of fun. We took the opportunity to visit the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History. It was very interesting. They had quite a few exhibits of the real things, not just replicas. The Fat Man and Little Boy bombs were replicas, of course. There were several airplanes on display, including this B-52 which was an early production model assigned to the H Bomb development program in Albuquerque. This particular aircraft delivered the test H Bomb to Bikini Atoll. It was a missions that was round trip from Albuquerque.

John, if you are going near Tucson on your trip, go see the PIMA museum. As a guy who loves planes, you will love it

A truly great and long lasting bomber.
Last ones built in 1962.
Still flying for the United States Air Force.
