I reached a milestone in the Swift project this morning. I finished rebuilding the seat backs. It wasn't very hard to do, but it took me a while to figure out what exactly I needed to do. I riveted in some aluminum angles that stiffened the sides of the seats. Bloke suggested an aluminum bar between the seat brackets, and I did that as well. The repaired seatbacks are very solid. I was lucky that the original upholstery could be reused. That's one small step for me. The next project is new nutplates in the wheel brackets. This will be tricky. Also not a one man job. Fortunately, Bloke is around for almost two weeks.
