It is amazing how your senses can react sometimes. I was driving out to the airport this morning and came to the light where I take a left turn onto Spencer Highway. Out of the corner of my eye I caught the form of a P-51. My whole brain reacted instantaneously to that stimulus, barely perceived, and I knew it was going to be interesting for a little while. This P-51 was parked on Debbie's ramp. I drove over there and got out for a look. Beautiful airplane. Not a drop of oil or dirt anywhere. The leading edge of the wing was completely smooth, no gun ports. A sight to behold. I asked the line guys who owned it. They said some rich guy from up Dallas way owns it and he commutes to Houston for business in it. In the past I had seen a T-6 parked out there, that was the same guy. I guess he just decided to get a better vehicle.
