John - Thank you for sharing and explaining so many of these photos on Oct. 26th, 2017 at the Bastrop Historical Society meeting! I've traveled to many places across the globe, and your personalized "Tour of Texas Places to Visit" reinforced what I've known all along. That we will never see and experience everything in our lifetimes, and the wonders of nature, history, and our families are no less plentiful and amazing in our own back yards as they are on the other side of the world. All we need do is open our eyes, and learn and appreciate what we have here.
